Join us for the final day of Caught Between the Tongue and the Taste, a solo exhibition by Stephanie Barlow. Our closing reception begins with the exhibition catalog release, followed by a conversation between COMPANION Gallerist Braydee Euliss and Herron Galleries Director M. Pofahl about Barlow's work and their roles co-presenting the exhibition. The 45-page, illustrated exhibition catalog features an essay by curator M. Pofahl and contributed writings by Jennifer Delgadillo and Alessandra Lynch. Delgadillo and Lynch will join the conversation and share readings. The event is free and open to the public. Conversation begins around 2:00pm in the Marsh Gallery. Herron Galleries are open Wednesday through Saturday, 12 — 5pm.
Caught Between the Tongue and the Taste marks the first project in an ongoing collaboration between Herron Galleries and COMPANION. Rooted in a shared commitment to artist-centered practice, research, and public engagement, the collaboration brings together Herron’s role as a university exhibition space with COMPANION’s model of artist stewardship through exhibitions, publications, and community building.
