WriteShop for Artist Statements | Braydee Euliss + Lauren Day

Join us Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 6pm  for a special, evening artist Assembly as part of our summer solstice group exhibition, Coordinates of Belonging.

WriteShop for Artist Statements is co-hosted by COMPANION Gallerist Braydee Euliss and Canopy Founder Lauren Day. The gathering offers artists a guided, low-intensity invitation to think and write about their own work. Participants will learn more about the essential texts that support an art practice and respond to simple prompts in writing. The group will be invited to share and reflect with each other before making individual revisions and arriving at newly developed or updated artist statements.

Designed for visual artists and open to all who maintain a creative practice. Limited to 20 artists.

Lauren Day is a natural convener, perceptive listener, and connector of people and ideas. As the founder of Canopy, she helps individuals and organizations find clarity and move forward with confidence. As an effective generalist, she combines facilitation, project leadership, and thoughtful problem solving to create clear direction, stronger communication, and energy for meaningful work. She founded WriteShop, a reflective writing group that has been meeting regularly since 2018. Community WriteShop meets the second Friday of each month at 8:00am, usually at draft Creative Space in Fountain Square.

This artist Assembly is part of our summer solstice group exhibition, Coordinates of Belonging. We'll have light refreshments, and guests are invited to enjoy quiet, evening hours with the exhibition featuring a group of artists and land-based practitioners who share bodies of knowledge celebrating slow, curious relationships with land, with spacetime, and with each other.
