Join Ellery Diaz for meditation, movement, and greeting the sun. Held during opening weekend for Coordinates of Belonging, the 2026 summer solstice annual group exhibition. Sunday marks the first astronomical day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere with the solstice occurring at 4:24 am ET.
Inspired by the artist’s Summer Solstice ritual with her twin, wake up with the sun and community to gently rediscover your summer self on the longest day of the year. Start with meditation and breathwork before gentle movements and shapes. This beginner-friendly flow welcomes and invites all.
Please bring a mat and any wanted props. It’s recommended to wear layers and a sturdy pair of shoes if joining the morning walk.
Morning Schedule:
4:05 - 4:20 am | arrive
4:21 am | meditation, breathwork, movement on mats
5:10 am | closing poem
5:15 am | silent walk
5:30 am | break for tea, coffee, and bread
6:00 am | depart for walk
6:17 am | Greet the Sun!
Spaces are intimate and limited to 16 guests.
Coordinates of Belonging is a group exhibition presented off-site. The residential setting is stewarded by neighbors who have transformed the cottage, grounds, and remaining farmstead into an artists and writers residency. Hosts will be in touch with more location and attendance detail prior to opening weekend.
