Join us Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 6 PM for a Dominican family dinner with artist Nazarinne Ahmed amid In The House My Mother Built, a meditation on her maternal relationship.
The image we’re sharing captures Nazarinne’s mother on her first Thanksgiving. In the same spirit of the exhibition, our family-style meal honors what her mother has provided and celebrates the ingredients and recipes Nazarinne grew up with at home — plantains, beets, Moro De Habichuelas, and Carne Guisada.
Cena Familiar includes a small memento and helps support future artist programming at Companion. Setting is intimate and limited to 6 additional guests.
